Deep Cleaning
Deep cleaning also known as scaling and root planning, is very thorough cleaning of the tooth root surfaces from plaque and calculus. This procedure is recommended when a patient shows significant signs of gum disease, such as bleeding gums, pus, accumulation of calculus under the gum, deep gum pockets, and loss of bone.
